![]() I've no experience with these, but they seem to be double the power of solar. IIRC, in stores 100 power, but is slow to recharge (1 point every 12 seconds) So would work for either a small base without a lot of crafting, or as a backup power supply (I use one at my shallows base for when crafting kills my solar power at night Sits in the center of a multi-purpose room. ![]() Meh, just realized I didn't even answer your question >_<īioreactor. Just keep exploring and you'll find them :) Nuclear power gives you lots of power, and is pretty fast to charge up. there's actually a large area nearby (If I'm guessing your spot correctly) with lots of vents, around the mountain area close to the mushroom forest. Thermal power is good if you are near a vent. so don't plan on it being your sole source of power. The other power generators- how do they function and how much work is involved in keeping them going?īioreactor is good as a backup power source, but is very slow. Right now I only have my seaglide with those batteries that die oh so quickly to search. Hopefully eventually I'll find the fragments for other power options. Do I need to relocate my house, drag it to the surface somewhere? Obviously living underwater would be more fun. The only full blueprint I have is a solar panel. I'm a little confused about the power options available. only to be unpleasantly reminded that there was no power and thus no oxygen. Plonked a foundation down, put a multipurpose room on it, and attached a hatch. I picked out a spot near the ship on the edge of some sand dune cliffs overlooking what I believe is a mushroom tree forest. Anyhoo, the base building option is very appealing to me. It's an interesting game and I'm really enjoying exploring the water - when I'm not terrified for my life/dead, which seems to happen often. I just picked up Subnautica during the steam sale.
